一、学校介绍 WHY CHOOSE DGUT&UON

　　东莞理工学院是广东省东莞市第一所普通本科院校，诺贝尔物理学奖获得者杨振宁博士任名誉校长，是教育部第一批“卓越工程师教育培养计划”实施高校，是广东省重点支持的高水平理工科大学建设单位，是广东省唯一新型高水平理工科大学示范校建设单位。在2020年9月ESI大学排行榜313所全名单中，东莞理工学院为中国大陆9所新增高校之一，工程科学晋级全球前1%。在2020中国大学综合实力排名中，东莞理工学院位列第183位，蝉联中国应用型大学第一位。

　　The Dongguan University of Technology is the first college in Dongguan City. The Novel Laureate in Physics, Dr Yang Zhenning, is the honorary president. It is the first batch of universities to implement the “Education and Training Programme for Excellent Engineerings” by the Ministry of Education as the only one high-level university of science and technology demonstration unit in Guangdong Province. In the 2020 China University Rankings, DGUT ranks the 183rd in a comprehensive strength and the 1st among China's applied universities. According to the Essential Science Indicators statistics released by Clarivate Analytics (formerly Thomson Reuters) on September 10th, DGUT’s Engineering Science discipline entered the top 1% of ESI global rankings.

　　诺丁汉大学(The University of Nottingham，www.nottingham.ac.uk)， 建于1881年，是全球百强名校，英国常春藤联盟罗素大学集团成员，M5大学联盟创始成员之一。诺丁汉大学在全球各类大学综合排名上均位居前100，是世界级名校。其中，马来西亚校区是英国诺丁汉大学的海外直属校区之一，且与总校区共享排名。

　　参加东莞理工学院与诺丁汉大学联合培养博士研究生项目的学生将在马来西亚校区就读。

　　The University of Nottingham (www.nottingham.ac.uk), founded in 1881, is one of the top 100 universities in the world. It is not only a member of the Russell University Group of the British Ivy League but one of the founding members of the M5 University League. The University of Nottingham is a world-class university which always ranks the top 100 in the world universities rankings. The Malaysia campus is one of the overseas campuses directly under the University of Nottingham and shares the ranking with the main campus.

　　Students who participate in the “DGUT-UoN Joint PhD Training Programme” will study on the Malaysian campus.

二、培养形式

　　1.整个项目过程中，学生接受合作单位双方导师的共同培养，并在双方合作指导下完成博士毕业论文，学生的录取、升级、考试和学位授予均遵循诺丁汉大学的规定。

　　2.联合培养期间，采取1+2+1培养模式，学生需要在东莞理工学院学习2年。

　　3.完成学业者可获得诺丁汉大学颁发的博士学位。

　　1.During the joint training period, the supervisory team will be composed of at least one supervisor from each university and will work as a unified team to jointly train the doctoral programme candidates. The admission, progression, examination and award will all follow the regulations of the UoN.

　　2.During the joint training period, the 1+2+1 training mode is adopted, which means the students need to study at DGUT for 2 years. 

　　3.The final doctoral degree will be awarded only by UoN.

三、招生专业

　　优先支持学校重点建设学科，每年最高招生名额不超过10人。 

　　We will give priority to support the DGUT's key construction disciplines, and the scholarship quota is 10 students in total.

四、申请条件

01 学历应满足以下条件之一

　　a.境内高校全日制本科毕业并取得学士学位(应届毕业生应于入学前取得毕业证和学位证)。

　　b.境内高校全日制硕士研究生毕业并取得硕士学位(应届毕业生应于入学前取得毕业证和学位证)。

　　c.已获得境外硕士研究生学位，具有教育部留学服务中心学历认证证明，且该国(境)外高校必须是四大权威世界大学2020年或2021年排名(QS、U.S News、泰晤士高等教育、上海软科世界大学学术排名)前300名。

　　Your degree should meet one of the following requirements:

　　a.A full-time bachelor degree from a Chinese university (graduates should obtain a graduation certificate and degree certificate before the admission).

　　b.A full-time master degree from a Chinese university (graduates should obtain a graduation certificate and degree certificate before the admission).

　　c.Your overseas’ master degree should have an academic certification from the Overseas Education Service Center of the Ministry of Education, and your overseas’ university must be the top 300 universities in the four recognized world university rankings in 2020 or 2021 (QS, US News, Times Higher Education, Academic Ranking of World University Shanghai).

02 语言能力应满足以下条件之一

Your language level should meet one of the following requirements:

　　*IELTS, TOEFL and PTE (Academic) test results must be less than two years old and all IELTS must be the academic version of the test.

03 身心健康，符合国家规定的体检标准 

　　Your physical and mental health should pass the national medical examination standard requirements.

五、申请方式及材料

　　申请者须提交下述内容，按顺序编号、命名后打包发送至邮箱：pantong@dgut.edu.cn(邮件主题：申请者姓名+拟入学年份+莞工博士研究生项目申请)申请材料发送时间截止至：2020年11月30日(2021年秋季入学，诺丁汉大学将于2021年2月至5月通知最终录取结果)

　　*1. 所有学历、学位、成绩、语言等证明文件必须保证其真实性，如有虚假，一经发现，立即取消其读博资格，并通报申请人所在学校。2.应届毕业生入学前必须获得学位证及毕业证，否则学校有权取消录取资格。

HOW TO APPLY

　　You should submit the following materials and the materials should be numbered, named, packaged and sent to this E-mail address: pantong@dgut.edu.cn (E-mail subject: applicant name + intended year of enrollment + DGUT-UoN Joint PhD Programme). 

　　Deadline for submission: November 30th, 2020 (the UoN will release the final admission result between February and May 2021).

　　*a. You must ensure the authenticity of all certificates of academic qualifications, including degrees, transcripts, language test, etc... If not, once discovered, the qualification for PhD application will be cancelled immediately and your university will be notified. 

　　*b. Fresh graduates must obtain a degree certificate and graduation certificate before entering the UoN, otherwise, the UoN has the right to cancel the admission qualification.

六、报名流程

　　1.提交申请材料

　　2.国际联合研究生院初选、学校审核并推荐

　　国际联合研究生院对提交完整资料的申请者初选，并按照拟推荐名额组织遴选后按程序推荐。

　　3.网申及面试

　　拟推荐学生在诺丁汉大学马来西亚校区网站网申，并根据需要参加境外大学的面试或双方联合面试，按诺丁汉大学的录取程序预录取。

　　4.录取通知

　　预录取申请者经东莞理工学院和诺丁汉大学审核通过后，发放录取通知书。具体开学日期及入学手续等相关信息将在录取通知书中说明。

ADMISSION FLOW

　　1. Submit application materials

　　2.The International Joint Graduate School initially selects the applicants who have submitted the materials completely

　　3. Online application and interview:

　　Our team will assist the applicants to apply online on the official website of the University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus, and then the applicants will attend an interview of UoN or a joint-interview of both parties as needed

　　4.Pre-admission according to the admission procedures of the UoN.

　　5.Admission Notice: Pre-admission applicants will be issued a letter of acceptance after the approval of DGUT and the UoN. The specific start date and other enrollment information will be all stated in the admission notice.

七、奖学金 SCHOLARSHIP

　　在规定的学制范围内，东莞理工学院为联合培养博士研究生设立“联合培养博士计划奖学金”，标准为总额20万元人民币/人(含税)，以资助研究生全身心投入学习和开展科学研究，取得高水平的研究成果，完成博士学业。奖学金获得与拨付按双方协议相关条款执行。 

　　The Dongguan University of Technology has set up an "International Joint PhD Programme Scholarship" for the joint training doctoral students, with a total value of200,000 yuan (tax included) per person. For more details, please refer to the “Regulations of Dongguan University of Technology International Joint Doctoral Training Programme” (Guan Gong Yan [2020] No.9).

八、费用·FEES

　　学生在东莞理工学院学习期间，无学费与住宿费(但水、电、网等费用自行缴纳)。在诺丁汉大学学费、住宿费等全部自理。 

　　Within 2-year study at DGUT, the university will provide on-campus accommodation with fee waived while the joint doctoral student is physically located in Dongguan, China. However, the student shall pay for his/ her health insurance package, living spending, and accommodation utilities including but not limited to water, electricity, internet etc. During the period of study at the UoN, students have to pay for his/her tuition fee, accommodation fee and other living spending.
